Cigar Star didn’t begin as a business.
It started in a small Canadian garage, late at night, surrounded by cedar shavings, half-finished sketches, and a group of friends who loved good cigars and hated the cheap, unreliable accessories on the market.
Back then, we weren’t thinking about selling anything.
We were simply trying to build a humidor worthy of the cigars we enjoyed together something crafted with real materials, real care, and none of the shortcuts that flooded the industry.
Word spread faster than we expected.
Friends told friends. One custom humidor turned into five. Five turned into twenty. Soon, the “garage project” became a workshop, and that workshop evolved into a full-scale operation dedicated to one purpose:
Create cigar accessories that elevate the experience, not just accompany it.
Over the next two decades, that passion sharpened into craft.
We designed humidors that kept cigars aging evenly through harsh Canadian winters. We introduced travel cases built from premium leather meant to patina beautifully over time. We refined cutters, trays, cedar systems, and every small detail that matters to someone who truly cares about their cigars.
And through all of it, one thing has never changed we build every product as if we’re building it for ourselves.

Cigar Star
Founded in 2001 when a group of Canadian men traveling to and from Cuba enjoying the culture. Good friendship and the easy going warm life style that Cuba has to offer, along with the best cigars in the world! Our love of Cuban cigars lead us to decide that we would use our engineering backgrounds to design products to keep our cigars fresh while on the go.
Leaving the tropical, humid climate of Cuba and coming back to Toronto in frigid February can destroy cigars! So with that, Cigar Stars first product came to life with the Ultimate Cigar Travel Humidor and we have expanded from that.
We decided that we would much rather do something in life that we love to do, create, design and manufacture a premium quality brand of cigar accessories that focus on preserving, enhancing & ageing cigars to perfection. Many years have passed and still Cigar Star continues to grow with leaps and bounds, mostly due to our focus on the customers needs. After all, we have redesigned products from feedback that our customers have given us. This tells us that we are doing something right.
